[edit] Timeline of the Stag God Chronicles

The Imperial Calendar (IC) is used in all time-keeping in and near the Empire, reckoned from the year the High Church joined forces with the Imperator Primus to truly form the formidable political body that was the first Empire.

There are twelve Moons within the year of the Imperial Calendar, measured by the phases of the moon. Each of the four seasons has three of these Moons: the first Moon of each season is named for a plant or tree iconic of the season, the second for a weather phenomenon of the season and the third for an animal commonly seen during the season or otherwise representative thereof. These are:

  • Winter: The Holly Moon (December), the Snow Moon (January), the Wolf Moon (February).
  • Spring: The Ash Moon (March), the Rain Moon (April), the Hare Moon (May).
  • Summer: The Oak Moon (June), the Storm Moon (July), the Stag Moon (August).
  • Autumn: The Thorne Moon (September), the Mist Moon (October), the Owl Moon (November).
