Depiction
Aeldryn is depicted as a tall, willowy figure of hermaphroditic features, features masculine and feminine. S/he is often clad in flowing, billowing robes, with long, braided hair of floor-length. Aeldryn is also depicted as having six arms, each of which bears one of the classical Arcane Implements: an orb, a staff, a wand, a rod, a tome, and a short blade that is slightly larger than a dagger. S/he is surmounted by an aura of swirling occult symbols and signs, the most powerful of which coalesce into a halo around Aeldryn's head.
Symbols
Aeldryn's holy symbol is the Empyrean Star, with a six-armed wheel in its center. Other than that, all the tools and symbols of arcane magic are also symbols of Aeldryn: the Arcane Implements, the hooded robe, the circle of sigils etched on wall or floor and globes or ribbons of witchfire.
Origins
Aldinmure is one of the greater Empyrean gods, created at the dawn of the world. The moment Aevo reached into the strange potential of the Astral Sea to change it according to his whim - the first act of magic - he was plunged into a whirling maelstrom of pure magical power: the Spellstorm. Out of the interaction between this storm of pure magical potential and Aevo's divine will, Aeldryn was born, dancing the eternal Spelldance. S/he embraced Aevo, then kissed him, and whispered to him of all the arts of magic.
The Spellstorm (Heaven)
The potent and eternally-raging storm of pure magical power that is the Spellstorm is the realm of Aeldryn, the deity of magic. Those who wielded occult power in life without being cast screaming into one of the Hells for their abuses of power come to rest here, where they can indulge in their love of shaping magical power for all of eternity. This realm is extremely reactive to a magician's will, allowing them to reshape the nature of pockets of this realm's power. At the center of the arcane maelstrom is the Citadel of Aeldryn, a floating citadel of tall spires that is the home of the deity of magic and his/her sorcerous angelic servants.

Known Knightly Orders

  • The Order of the Spellstorm: A dwindling order of Aeldrynite paladins and eldritch knights, Spellstorm knights can often be found defending temples to Aeldryn, libraries, and other places of magical relevance. While they used to travel among the peasantfolk, searching for those with the wit or talent to wield magic, they have had to forego such endeavors in post-Shattering Rinhony, for the most part. Still, they are taught how to test for that talent, and many boys or girls who dream of wielding magic know to see one of the Spellstorm knights if they suspect (or know) they have that ability and wish to cultivate it.
