The Antediluvian Lodge is an order of sorcerers dedicated to re-discovering the lore of the so-called Antediluvian Empires: Atlantis, Mu, Lemuria, Hyberborea, Kumari Kandam, and others. They are an occult order first and foremost, though they also maintain extensive academic interests, particularly in archaeology and anthropology. This places them as sometime-rivals to the Zodiac Society: where the Society wishes to preserve history and lore, the Lodge seeks to seize and use it to accomplish their occult ends.

The Lodge sets itself apart with a central thesis: that sorcerous extradimensional entities are inherently disruptive and even destructive to the earthly realm. They uphold the small number of entities who arose from the Antediluvian Empires – Ahgrazul, Idolon, Ios, Malador, and Sirrion – as the only arcane entities worth emulating. Every sorcerer has the potential to rise to the arcane heights that these sorcerers achieved, and could found an arcana for future sorcerers to draw upon.

This isn't to say that the Antediluvian Lodge's members eschew the other entities entirely, however. They simply see them as tools, useful ways to access power as the sorcerer learns, in order to one day throw off any need for invocations to distant, uncaring forces.

The use as their symbol a triple quartered circle, said by Plato to be the symbol of Atlantis, a depiction of its walls as well as a gnostic symbol of the multiverse.
