Most people don't even know what a hobbit is, or halfling as most non-hobbits call them. Their lands lie south of the Taren Mountains, farther east of Ree and Nir at the eastern shore in a region that is marked on old elven & Al-Lorin maps as Zelena, but is called the Green Vale by its inhabitants.
