The districts of the City of Brass are connected not merely by roads, by also by canals of fire, which allow creatures immune to flame to make quick time moving through the city.
The Arches
Area between the Naval Yard and the Foundry

Residential Area, home to the Long Castle, the city guard.

Rowdy lower-class area; Commoner's Market
Castings
Barracks of the Slave Army; found in the shadow of the Furnace.
Coalman's District
Metalworking businesses; Imbricate neighborhood to Liminal

Lower class, free residents; near the Naval Yards
The Foundry
Ornate mansion, rich dwellings. Third most elite, for those not wealthy enough to live in the Plume, or not connected enough to live in the Furnace.

A district of elaborate palaces with the Charcoal Palace rising from its center. Home to government offices (Red Pillar Halls), the Barracks of the Ring of Fire (Lord of the Efreets' personal guard) and the Eternal Flame Pavilion (shrine to the primordial Imix)

A nearly lawless rookery.

Public docks, filled with travelers from all over the planes. Home of the Octagon, a magical prison intended to hold even powerful planar entities.
