During one of these dreams, Astra was reminded of when she first arrived in her holding cell in the wretched citadel where she was visited by the spirit of Liminal, the same spirit that her father L'loryan served. This spirit has watched over Lady Astra for her entire life, for they are connected. During her cell-visitation, the spirit of Liminal appeared in Astra in the visage of a great displacer beast and charged Astra with completing her fathers work. To help her in this, the spirit sent one of its children to aid Astra along her journey; a full-grown adult displacer beast. Opal wears an opal and silver collar made in the fashion of a necklace; Astra wears a smaller one around her neck in honor of their friendship and companionship.
