Ravimarga has a specific kind of "technology" with its origins in the Golden Sun system. It is not "technology" - it is "wonder-crafts." To the ignorant, they might even be seen as magic - and some even require magicians to create. But what sets them apart from magical implements is simple: antiapaya can be used by anyone.

Viksya

There are several categories of antiapaya, the best known of which is viksya, wonders of thavaqan gold and qamani glass. Viksya are the basis for the cultural and economic superiority of the Rastram Kanaqa.

  • Viksya: Devices wrought of thevaqa and qamani. They are visually wrought of gold and colored glass, and usually crafted in natural curves and aesthetically pleasing lines that conform to the Great Spiral. Globes and seashell-type fluting are common. Viksya have no obvious "controls" - they require embedments to use.
  • Embedments: Viksya are controlled wholly through "communion embedments" - "seeds" of thevaqan that are implanted beneath the skin, which then grow "roots" into the body, granting the user the ability to interact with certain devices.
  • Communion Light: When an embedment is in communion with a device, the embedment generates a field of light. Practically speaking, this creates a type of "hologram" made of golden light around the wielder that provides a "UI" for the wielder to manipulate, in order to operate the device.
  • Imani: Thevaqan devices often utilize "batteries" crafted of qamani to resemble cabochon jewels. They have a threaded pattern of thevaqan at their heart, and the whole thing serves as a battery, storing up sunlight energy to power devices at night or when they are not in full, direct sunlight. They are recharged by mounting them to upavasi (wall units connected to light-collecting arrays in that building or ship). Their power is measured in "hours" (as in "hours of light"), regaining one "charge" for each such hour. Most hold four to ten hours of light when fully charged, with rarer examples holding higher charges.
