Background
Dosa escaped the notice of the Jedi Order for most of her childhood, thanks to having spent it aboard a trading vessel that mainly served the Outer Rim. She was taken by the Jedi Order quite late at the age of eleven, but her natural gifts allowed her to advance quickly in some areas. Her native nautolan strength carried her far in lightsaber training, but the emotional calm required to use the Force has proven more difficult for the adolescent.
Dosa compensates with strict adherence to the Jedi Code and training. So much so, in fact, that she can often be overzealous in her discipline. Her master, Aeda Togarish, only compounds this by doling out extra work, hours of solitary meditation, and generous amounts of criticism. She also permits her padawan little in the way of personal effects and certainly nothing leisurely. Dosa recognizes the need for such unrelenting focus and doesn't protest her master's methods.
Master Aeda instructed her to practice a craft as a way of avoiding idleness, so Dosa creates jewelry, usually semi-precious stones twined in filaments of gold or silver. Though she dearly loves her work, she practices detachment by denying herself the pleasure of wearing it. Instead, she gives her favorite pieces away.
Dosa is a model student and a favorite of many of her instructors, who seem to pity the girl for her draconian regimen. However, she is not a perfect student, and when a particular lesson proves elusive, her lack of emotional control becomes evident. She obsesses over the lesson and lets anger rule her until she masters it.
