Captain Morgela Sandural
Captain of the Horizon's Kiss
The captain of the Horizon's Kiss is an adventurer and explorer, through and through. She is fascinated with maps of all sorts and longs to run her eyes over every stretch of terrain she finds depicted on new maps. Captain Morgela is also a wizard of some skill, with talents that have served her and her crew well. She is merry, usually referring to everyone with a "Mister" or "Madame" before their surnames (if they have them), and will not hesitate to use blade and spell to deal with fools.
Sahal.jpg
Sahal
Quartermaster
A corsair of Zakhara, Captain Morgela saved Sahal when she was boatswain aboard another vessel, and the two have been inseparable allies and occasional lovers ever since. Sahal is quiet and fierce, and given to bouts of melancholy and brooding. He is terribly loyal to Morgela, however, and will not brook any perceived threats to her captaincy.
Bansh.jpg
Bansh Horizonkiss
Boatswain
Morgela hired the hadozee Bansh in a far southern port, giving him a chance to work when others saw only a talking ape. She found him to be very loyal because of it, and delights in his taken surname. For his part, Bansh is happiest when at sea, tending to the rigging and overseeing the deckhands. He understands that other sailors wish to see port occasionally and does not begrudge them that, though he does begin to be antsy and anxious after too long at dock.
Ogred-hunn.jpg
Ogred Hunn
Cook
An old shipmate of Morgela's, and the man who taught her to sail, navigate, and fight, Ogred Hunn is getting on in his years. Unfortunately, he sometimes forgets where he is or gets confused easily, probably a legacy of too many hits to the head over his career as a marine at sea. Morgela will not abandon him, however, and have given him charge of the galley and the making of meals, which he retreats into when things become too much for him to process.
