History
Overview
- Rowena is the youngest daughter of Sir Markos Livett, a Landed Knight on the far west side of the Three Rivers.
- Sybil, Rowena mother died of a pox when Rowen was just 4.
- Sir Markos insisted that all of his children would know how to fight, and gave all of them at least the rudiments of training.
- Having few other prospects, Rowena trained as a Crownmaid.
- When Vaenda was pregnant with Idoren, she sought out the hiring of a Crownsmaid. Rowena ended up being chosen.
- Rowena was the one to discover Vaenda's collapse. She rushed to get Sir Nyle desperately hoping that he could save her Lady.
- Feeling responsible for not protecting Vaenda better, Rowena is very careful to watch over Idoren and Vaenya.
Notes
- Crownsmaids: he first Ylrath Crown established the Crownsmaids: young promising noblewomen of particularly low birth with few options. They were taken in and trained to serve at the highest of tables, given genteel instruction, sufficient to grant them a spot in even the most exalted of Households. The Crown established a small academy for the training of these handmaidens, and placed them with worthy and deserving nobles. It has become very fashionable to have a Crownsmaid in one's service. This works out for everyone: the Crownsmaid gets opportunities she might never have before, and the noble gains an exceptionally trained, loyal, and discreet servant.
- Rowena maintains active correspondence with her Father and her siblings.
