''Friday, October 26th.  Fraternity Row's Halloween Party''

* Midterms are over, and everyone except Jace Evans performed well, but his worry over Harris Clayton seemed a larger concern.

* In celebration of the stressful period's end, the University of Astoria's Fraternity Row throws an annual Halloween bash that spills across every fraternity house.

* Thomas Michael Craig receives a call from Teresa Cantu consulting on plans for the evening.  Thomas is going to the party as a lawyer, but Teresa hasn't figured out her costume yet.  She eventually defaults to her mom's connections and goes as a cop, completing a Law & Order theme for their night.

* Jace, meanwhile, is going as something entirely aberrant for him:  a nerd.  Aedia Randall, jungle slut, expresses surprise when he runs into her, but he points out that the important thing about his costume are the pockets, which she quickly avails herself of, getting Jace's night off to a good start.

* Danny Marin calls Warner Pelt and is a little surprised to learn he's heading over to Fraternity Row as Dr. Manhattan, but he decides to come along while not wearing a costume.  Warner points out the lameness of this idea, and Danny asks if he can borrow Warner's Boy Scout uniform.  Warner agrees, and they head out.

* Henry Mulgrew is busy pursuing his fantasy fulfillment for Renee McDonnall by dressing her up as Ahsoka Tano, but the proceedings are a little subdued, as Henry has noticed Renee distancing herself from the missing Jerome Tate's circle of friends.

* Stella Jalo is of course on hand to monitor ATO's party, but she finds that her werewolf status enhances her den mother duties.  Deacon Alders, still deferring to her every whim, has taken on a lot of the responsibility of the party himself, no doubt trying to keep Stella from getting riled up again.  Stella's frustrations extend mostly to Reese Tavis and Volk Yuriev, however, neither of whom has made any contact recently.  Stella has left many an angry message with Volk demanding an explanation.

* Dr. Elaine Litchfield, Halloween warrior, arrives at Fraternity Row armed with her silver knuckles, a period dress, and nametags to humiliate the costumeless.

* Thomas runs into Warner eventually, and noting to himself that the Dr. Manhattan costume allows little utility, asks the Boy Scout for his Leatherman.  Danny is chagrined to learn that not only did Warner let him borrow the Boy Scout suit, he's using him as his walking preparedness kit for the night when Warner reaches into Danny's pocket to retrieve the Leatherman.

* Jace, meanwhile, has been on his own for a bit cruising the circuit and drowning his recent sorrows by emptying his pockets for his own consumption.  Once he's run out, he sheds his nerd costume for the surprise underneath:  a tight Superboy tank top and short shorts bearing the emblem across his junk.  He catches up to Aedia at TPA only to find her dancing with a meat head jock in a shabby Captain America t-shirt.  To Aedia's delight, Jace elbows himself in, provoking a fight over her.  Thomas notices her pleasure and walks by with a casual "bitch," which only increases that pleasure.  The jock is no werewolf, though, so Jace easily bests him, securing Aedia's affections for the night along with a hero/minx pic for Instagram.  At least DC wins one Marvel match up this year.

* Henry has been spending most of his night partying at ATO, and Carter Smythe finds him to tell him that someone is looking for him up on ATO's back deck.  Henry correctly surmises that it's Reese and wastes no time confronting him.  Reese tells Henry that he's officially leaving UofA and urges Henry to do the same, saying the Astoria won't be safe for any werewolves soon.  He apologizes for biting Henry at the bonfire party.  Henry asks him if the fighting pit thing is true, which Reese denies, but he does say that Harris and Miranda are with the Coastal Range pack.  He refuses to say much more than that, and Henry tells him that if he wants to have any credibility, he needs to make sure Harris gets in touch with Jace.  Reese says that's not his call and leaves.

* Warner and Danny are hanging out at ATO, and Danny notices Warner zoning out while looking in Henry's general direction.  He asks Warner if he's into Henry, and Warner discovers that pleading the 5th is far from sufficient to hide the "yes" in his non-answer.

* Halloween takes a further turn for the worse when werewolf Alice shows up at ATO in a Little Red Riding Hood outfit and her own personal werewolf walking wall whose name turns out to be Donaldo.  She's there to relay a message to Stella from Volk.  He apologizes for not being able to talk to her directly and for not being able to explain himself to her.  Stella, showing a Bette Midler level of brassiness, is having none of it, though.  She rips into Alice (metaphorically), telling her that Volk's evasion is all too expected, and he already knows exactly how she feels about it from the numerous messages she's left him.  Alice finds it all so amusing, though, and tells Stella that of all the people bitten at the bonfire, only hers was intentional.  This whole exchange riles up Stella's wolf, but she uses her new seminar tricks to keep herself under control.  Alice leaves with a smirk, and to get her wolf fully under control, Stella retreats to the kitchen to explore some cutting.

* Most of our heroes have noticed Alice by the this point, and Elaine takes the opportunity to snap some photos of Alice and Donaldo.  To her surprise, the photos actually turn out.  Who knows what further ideas for experiments this spawns in Elaine's demented mindscape.  Both Elaine and Warner text Vanya Simonson to let her know about Alice's presence.

* Thomas takes to opportunity to approach Alice, who seems more than happy to entertain his interest.  She sends a sc/growling Donaldo off to fetch drinks while she drags Thomas into another frat to dance.  Donaldo runs afoul of Neena Cosgrove, but he simply hands her a drink and takes off.  Alice inhales Thomas's scent deeply, and while he's trying to be wily with her, she counters by noting that she can smell his attraction to Teresa and wonders if he's admitted it.  This stops Thomas cold in his tracks, and he questions if he's made the right decision in engaging with Alice.

* Jace and Aedia show up to the party, and Aedia is instantly jealous that the whole room seems to be focused on Alice.  When Jace praises Thomas's pick up skills, Aedia realizes that Alice is dancing with Jace's friend.  Jace is unable to provide much intel on Alice, though, admitting that he's seen her before with that Reese guy, and her name is Ellen or something.  Aedia claims that Ellen is a skank name.  Alice overhears the exchange and notices the attention being focused on her.  She decides to collect Donaldo and leave.

* Elaine and Warner attempt to follow them, but they end up in the parking lot with no idea where the werepair have gone.  Vanya catches up to them, and she is quite upset that they have put themselves at such risk.  She explains that both Alice and Donaldo could easily rip either of them to shreds and wouldn't hesitate to do it.  She appreciates their curiosity, but they have no idea what they're getting themselves into.  Warner tells Vanya that he's considering joining the Astoria pack.

* Back on Fraternity Row, Thomas runs into Victor and makes an offering of peace over cigars.  Victor is decidedly nicer than usual and even admits to feeling some guilt over the bonfire attack.  He smells a bit of blood on Thomas, who tells him that he's recently been tattooed.  More alarming to Victor, he also smells Alice all over Thomas.  Because Thomas doesn't seem to realize the gravity of this, Victor tells him that many of Alice's past "relationships" start with such a marking and go rapidly downhill from there.  It's also a warning to the Astoria pack that she's found one of their kin.  Thomas finishes his Halloween questioning much of his decision-making process.

* Stella's answer to the werewolf situation is guns.  Elaine is aghast.

''Saturday, October 27th.  Parents Weekend''

*  Jace and Davis are dressing in the locker room after an early morning workout when Davis asks to see Jace's phone.  Remarkably, Jace hands it over without questioning, and Davis installs a walky talky app on it, explaining that after their conversation at ATO, Davis will feel better if Jace can reach him quickly.  Jace makes sure to point out that the two men are not dating, and Davis is sarcastic at Jace's vigilance over people falling too hard for him.

* As the two leave the Athletics Center, they find the wrestling team outside preparing to hold the competition for team captain, the two prime contenders being Henry and Carter Smythe.  When Jace gives Henry some words of encouragement and points out that as his lab partner, Henry will make Jace look bad if he loses, Davis continues his sarcastic commentary on Jace's priorities.  Jace figures this is flirting and not criticism, and the two join Warner, who is also on hand, to watch the matches.

* As the wrestling team gets organized, Danny's new presence on the team becomes clear, especially when Bradley Humes shows up with some of Danny's former baseball mates to rib the freshman for quitting the team.  Henry, who still hasn't had a chance for some play time with Danny in his room, of course hears (and smells) everything, and his wolf becomes indignant.  As Henry struggles to control Sparky, both Jace and Warner notice the strangeness.  Warner, who also overheard his friend being taunted, also goes into a wolf rage, but because he's sitting right next to Jace, he has little privacy to deal with it.

* Henry has a untested, retooled inhaler, and hoping for the best (or at least to stave off the worst), he uses it.  Sparky is indignant as he gets drugged and feels sleepy, but both he and Henry stay locked in battle over the issue of killing Bradley.

* Naturally, Desmond Lancaster is lurking in the shadows nearby and gestures Henry over to show him a trick.  Apparently, nothing scares an inner wolf off like a broken limb, so, shielding Henry from the view of the wrestling spectators, Desmond breaks his arm and quickly resets it.  Sparky decides to steer into his drugged stupor and leaves Henry to deal with healing his bone.

* Warner manages to keep his wolf under control with some subtle self-injury as well, and Jace, who has been watching both of the pups, informs Warner that there's no such thing as a sympathetic roid rage, and he's pretty sure Desmond must be Henry's dealer.  Recognizing Danny from the night before, Jace also asks Warner if dressing Danny up in his Boy Scout uniform was some sort of narcissistic foreplay between the two.  Warner's wolf has already gone back in hiding, so it doesn't try to come out to bite Jace's face off.

* As the situation cools off, Stella arrives with visitors in tow: Henry's mother, aunt and younger sister, who have arrived for the weekend and insisted on watching Henry compete.  Henry flees to the relative safety of the wrestling match as his family settles into the stands next to Jace, Warner, and Davis to watch the match.

* Although Carter puts up a good show, Henry ultimately overpowers him in their match, ending it with an accidental shoulder dislocation.  Henry is declared team captain, and it's a good thing Sparky is sleeping so Henry doesn't have to fight the urge to urinate on everyone.

* Jace comments that he might need to have a talk with Henry about steroids, which Henry's aunt, Bethany Boss (really?) overhears.  To her apparent disappointment, though, Jace denies that the comment has any truth.  As everyone goes to congratulate Henry on his win, his family insists on taking him out to breakfast along with his friend Jace.  Although Henry tries to get Jace out of it, Jace gleefully accepts with a mischievous air but proves that he can be charming when he bothers to be.

*Stella returns to ATO and smells fear wafting up from the basement.  There, she discovers Kaleb Jackson with some biker dude she's never seen before.  Kaleb introduces the fearful man as Arnar but clearly doesn't want Stella to linger.  Since Stella doesn't yet have any guns to mow everyone down with, she leaves but uses her wolf ears from the kitchen to continue to listen in.  Arnar is a member of a biker gang called the Jokers, and he and Kaleb are plotting to get some mysterious box (it probably doesn't have severed heads in it) onto a truck.

* Thomas is awoken by a call from his parents, who are on their way to Astoria after flying into Portland.  Thomas's mom asks for a tour of the campus's science facilities, so Thomas texts Elaine to ask if she can show them around.  Since Elaine is currently victimless, she agrees, probably hoping one of the pups will show up while she's on campus.  Warner, who's Mr. Present today, does not disappoint as he and his parents join Thomas's family.  The tour is all around uncomfortable, as Thomas's parents try to find out what their larcenous son has been up to and push him to more outward achievements in school.  Thomas's mom Janet also manages to offend Elaine by showing surprise that the woman knows hard science and has labs equipped to practice it.  If only she were privy to Elaine's current projects . . .

* Teresa also shows up during the tour with newly acquired schematics for Dean Edmonton's car, and she didn't get the text about Thomas's family being on hand, so the duo attempt to pass off the schematics as something school related.  Master liar Thomas has no trouble passing this off.  Hard science and madness once again intersect when Elaine notices two corvid shadows perched on both Thomas and Teresa's shadows.

* Warner's parents and brother separate from the group after the tour, where Warner's parents also press him to greater achievements.  Fortunately, Vanya shows up to meet Warner's family and reassures them that their son has been doing well in his circumstances.  Warner, however, picking up on all the emotions floating around campus, starts to have a panic attack over all the stresses of school, which he barely suppresses.  Warner's parents also inquire about tonight's Fall Formal, but when it becomes evident that most parents don't attend, they drop the subject, much to Warner's relief.  Thomas isn't so lucky with his parents.

* Warner notices a commotion across the quad when Jace is confronted by an angry Tommy Halloran.  He doesn't need to be nearby to overhear Tommy confronting Jace about e-mails he's received threatening to expose some online porn he performs on jaycannon.com.  Jace, however, assures him that he will take care of the issue and sends Tommy on his way.  Suddenly, everything falls into place for Warner, and he realizes that maybe he should have looked at Jace's website before soliciting his help.

===Session Eight: 10/29/2014===

''Saturday, October 27th.  The Fall Formal''

* Stella Jalo is preparing for the Fall Formal and decides to wear silver in defiance of her wolfishness.  She quickly learns that this is a bad idea, as the continued presence of the metal drives her into lament, with her senses dulled and focus slipping.  It's almost like her old days as a pothead, just less good.  She decides to continue with the silver anyway.

* Henry Mulgrew arrives at the Fall Formal solo, having convinced his mother, with help from his aunt and sister, that it won't be for her.  It really isn't for Henry, either, who quickly finds two tables against a wall and does his best potted plant imitation between them.

* Thomas Michael Craig does show up with his parents, but they seem content to leave him to himself for the night.

* Jace Evans arrives appropriately late but brings his usual air of disdain.  He has his own agenda for the night, having prepared a massive afterparty at one of Astoria's old canning factories.  He's accompanied by a crew of students who helped with the set up, and he sends them into the crowd to start talking up the afterparty.

* Henry's wallflowering doesn't escape Jace's notice, so he approaches Henry's ATO brother and wrestling rival Carter Smythe to suggest that Carter should be rallying ATO to celebrate their brother's achievement.  See, even Jace can participate in Parents' Weekend.

* While Carter is gathering some of the bros, baseball sourpuss Bradley Humes, also in ATO, bumps into Henry and mocks his anti-social behavior.  Evidently, Bradley's still contemptuous at Danny Marin's defection to the wrestling team and blames Henry in part for it.  Remarkably, Sparky isn't really all that interested in eating Bradley's face off, and the frat bro leaves unaware of the danger he just faced.

* Carter and Jace arrive at Henry's side with a gaggle of not just ATO brothers but most of the wrestling team as well to drink in his honor.  Henry forces himself into social mode for his fellows and manages to make a good showing.  Jace is sure to point out that it's his lab partner that's captain of the wrestling team and also that while a little celebration here is fine, it's really the afterparty that has everything on hand for the proper dues.

* While everyone is hanging out around Henry, ATO president Deacon Alders tells Henry that he should talk to Jace about rushing ATO since he's there all the time and knows all the brothers.  Even though Henry knows that bringing this up to Jace will only result in derision, he steels himself and does so anyway.  He's proven correct when Jace laughs at the idea and questions whether Henry just wants to share a bathroom with him.

* Stella is, of course, a chaperone for the formal, and Juanita Cantu, Teresa's mother, makes small talk with her from the sidelines.  Like any good parent on Parents' Weekend, Juanita is doing what she can to get her child more involved, and knowing Stella's fraternity connection, Juanita asks her about possible frats for her daughter.  Stella, who has a dim view from what she's seen of Aedia Randall and crew, tells her that TPA, the university's sole sorority, is not likely a good match (Really?  Have you noticed what your boys are like, Stella?).  However, one of the co-ed frats is a more promising prospect.

* Juanita joins Teresa, who is of course, hanging out with Thomas by this point.  This is the first time Thomas has met Juanita, and he notices immediately the woman's tattoos marking her as a member of Las Renas (sp, Joe?) an L.A. gang notorious for their lifetime membership packages.  Not even an expired credit card number gets you out of your dues with them, and suddenly Thomas understands what the woman is doing in remote Astoria.

* Teresa has about as much disdain for the idea of joining a frat as Jace does, but she's more polite about it, and she and Thomas slip away to check out Dean Tessa Edmonton's car outside in the parking lot.  Shifty Thomas has Teresa pose by the car for some photos to get some clear shots of the car's interior and security system.

* Volk Yuriev finally makes himself known by texting Stella that he's heard she wants to talk.  He invites her to join him at Drina Daisy later that night.  Wary of meeting him on his own turf, Stella asks to meet him at Walmart instead, but confirming that he does indeed have good taste, Volk stands his ground and says it's Drina Daisy or nothing.

* When Stella tells Henry that she intends to go meet Volk, Henry of course objects, but Stella has already decided that this is her only course of action, especially since wandering around the woods hasn't accomplished anything, not even a musical number.  Victor Sutherland stops Stella on her way out, though, to tell her that the Astoria alpha is ready to meet with her in person after the formal at midnight tonight.  Stella doesn't tell him what she's up to, but she does say she'll be back if she can.  Victor also tells Henry of this.

* The formal starts breaking up a little early as Jace decides he's done with this scene and announces the start of the afterparty.  He's done remarkably well in promoting the party (even Henry joined in), and the mass exodus begins.  Aedia is not pleased, especially when Jace asks her if she really cares about all this bullshit.  Jace is ready for a very public fight with Aedia as the final feather in his cap, but she one ups him by asking if he really cares about her going to his party.  Shockingly, he confesses that he does, and Aedia promises to show up later once the party is in full swing.

* As Henry is hanging out after most everyone has left, he uses his wolf ears to eavesdrop on Aedia talking to some of her gaggle.  She has noticed his promotion of Henry tonight and thinks it's nice that Jace has taken on Henry as a project and is looking out for a friend.

* Meanwhile, Stella arrives at Drina Daisy to meet Volk.  He's the consummate gentleman, but Stella is in no mood for niceties, only answers.  Volk tries the nice approach first, telling Stella that she should learn to enjoy her new power.  He even wants her at his side as a real den mother.  Stella counters that she knows he deliberately bit her, and she's heard of his horrible methods for training pups.  All she's interested in is a cure.

* Volk's veneer slips, and he tells Stella that if she wants to end the curse, he'll be more than happy to be the one to do it for her.  He cleans up after his own mistakes.  He also admits that his methods for teaching pups control are harsh; their wolves learn to fear him, and through that they are controlled.

* When Stella asks for an explanation of Volk's hostilities toward the Astoria pack, Volk tells her that by an ancient accord, the area of Astoria is supposed to remain clear of werewolves, but when pressed he refuses to divulge any further details.  He claims his actions have simply been in service to this accord.  He also tells Stella that she can't remain in Astoria.  Stella, of course, refuses to abandon her life here, and Volk is clear that this is a choice he can't accept.  He does promise to come for her last, however.  This ends the rather uncomfortable meeting, and Stella wonders if trying to get back into dating was really worth it.

* Thomas and Teresa have returned to their dorm to change for the afterparty, and while Teresa is showering next door, Thomas receives a surprise visit from Alice, who simply saunters into his room.  She asks Thomas to come spend some time with her, and while Thomas tries to play it cool, for once he's unable to hide his discomfort.  Alice leans in to lick some sweat from Thomas's face and suggests that they can wait for Teresa to come with them if he'd prefer.  Thomas wastes no time in leaving with her, but he leaves his phone on the bed.  When the two get outside, Thomas's face is unceremoniously smashed into a lamppost by big bad Donaldo.  Alice chides him for not using the chloroform, but Donaldo confesses this is more fun as Thomas blacks out.

* Jace is also in his room to get ready for the afterparty, and he emerges from his shower clad only in a towel to find a very threatening looking woman waiting in his room.  She wastes no time in wrestling him to the ground and holds a knife to his throat.  She tells Jace that she's a fan of his online work, especially that one move he does with his hips.  Her weight and strangely masculine smell set something off in Jace, and he goes berserk trying to get her off him, not even deterred when she slices his throat shallowly.  The woman tells Jace that the blood has raised her interest in other ways, but she covers his mouth with a chloroform soaked rag rather than hurt him further.  He blacks out.

* Stella arrives back at the nearly abandoned formal for the midnight appointment with the Astoria alpha.  Henry is still there waiting for the meeting, and the two are ushered up to a private suite above the ballroom.  Most of the Astoria pack is there, along with Aedia Randall.  Yes, Aedia is the alpha.  You can have a moment to let that sink in.

* Okay, so Aedia apologizes for all the secrecy, but her mother the pack's former alpha, was killed less than a year ago.  She hasn't been sure if she can trust the pups, but she feels more confident in them now.  She's concerned because tomorrow night is the next full moon, and she explains that each full moon has its own character.  This one is the Blood Moon, when werewolves will feel compelled to hunt, and their blood lust will be stronger than ever.  She wants to make plans for the three pups to be watched over separately by different members of the pack because feral wolves will draw strength from each other and make them more difficult to control.  She intends to have Thomas watched in his loft, Stella in her home, and Henry in the library's rare books vault.  She explains that as an alpha, she can growl a wolf into submission if necessary, and she intends to watch over Henry herself, as he's the most likely candidate to become a furry tower of murder during the Blood Moon.

* Henry brings up a sore spot when he asks if the books in the vault will be safe through all this.
