Fire Manse •••
A modest-sized manse Aspected to Fire, the Creche was once the secret mountain holdfast of the Garda Kings of old. Indeed, it is where their queens gave birth, and where their children were raised until they were of an age to be presented at the Garda Court in Dehenna.
When unoccupied, the Creche rests within a mountain of granite, until such a time as it is discovered once more (usually by a dematerialized spirit, traditionally a Garda in the service of the Garda Kings). When one of the Garda Kings in possession of the DaiCamber of the Garda Kings enters it and attunes to it, it awakens to life, causing a volcanic eruption that darkens the skies with fire and soot for a fortnight, and surrounds the manse in a caldera of magma that is approachable only by air.
Once it has either no attuned masters or when its current masters orders it to do so, it goes into a shut-down mode over a twenty-four hour period. When this cycle has completed, the caldera fills up with magma over the next fortnight and then cools, locking the manse back within a mountain.
Hearthstone: Jewel of Hesiesh (halves time and mote cost to summon fire elementals; +3 dice to influence or banish fire elementals) Powers: The manse has the following powers:
- Maintenance ••: The subtleties of the interlocking orichalcum and red jade plates within the manse must be occasionally recalibrated to take into account the Essence flows of the caldera beneath it. This maintenance must be performed once a month, and takes about a day to accomplish.
- Comfort Zone (2): Though it is surrounded by magma, the interior of the manse remains cool and comfortable at all times.
- Limited Mobility (1): This is the manse’s ability to sequester itself away inside a mountain and be “reborn” again. Reduced in cost due to the restrictions of the ability.
- Geomantic Relay (2): This manse channels two Creation Points to the Palace of the Garda Kings, in Dehenna, when it is active.
- Dynamic Architecture (3): With a command entered into the Hearth Chamber of the Creche, the Creche can transform, its inner spaces contracting until the entire building resembles nothing so much as a massive orichalcum and red jade lightning rod. In this mode, it essentially serves as nothing but a channel for massive amounts of Essence over the Dehennan Essence GridIt has the following stats in that form:
