A Mastigos of the Clavicularius, Valdus arrived in New York shortly after the Feast of Wisdom, seeking the whereabouts of his master, the Solomonist named Regulus. Valdus has cleaned up Regulus' Sanctum and turned it to his own use. He believes that his master's goetic practices are somehow tied into the disappearance of the magi. Valdus holds some measure of status among the Silver Ladder, but it has been a while since he has taken an active interest in it. Valdus also has a practice as a psychologist, under the name of Valder Gotterdam. Valdus and Boudicca can often be found in one another's company.

Moros Guardian of the Veil; Justice/Lust

A young, attractive African-American woman, Taboo is a Moros allied with the Guardians of the Veil. A stripper and prostitute, Taboo has a very clear understanding of the workings of the criminal underworld, and of the seedier side of Manhattan Island. In this regard, she keeps her ears to the ground, and is in an excellent position to intercept word of strange goings-on. She is originally from New Orleans. Rodin has recently attached herself to Taboo, and the two young women have become a fixture of the club scene in New York's Greenwich Village.

Sanctum: Taboo owns Red-Eye Lizzie's, a strip club in Harlem that she lives above. (Sanctum 4 [Space 3, Security 1])

Rodin

Rodin.jpg

Mastigos Adamantine Arrow; Fortitude/Sloth

The young woman who calls herself Rodin has seen the gates of Hell, so she named herself after the 19th Century artists who depicted those very gates. Her techniques and tactics for accomplishing her goals tend to be very severe – indeed, it is the reason she has fled her old life in Quebec and come to New York. She hopes for a fresh start, where rumors of her past don't hound her. At least, not until she's made a new name for herself. Rodin is herself a painter, as well, as lives a bohemian lifestyle in Greenwich Village. Rodin has also taken an oath to defend Taboo from all threats.

Sanctum: Rodin lives with Taboo.

Magic: Gnosis 3; Life 2, Mind 3, Prime 3, Space 4

Moros Mysterium; Temperance/Greed

Currently Missing

An older, elegant German Moros of the Mysterium, Theophrastus is an initiate into the legacy of the Uncrowned King, the master alchemists of the Awakened world. He took the name of Theophrastus Paracelsus, for that worthy's famous quote: "The dose makes the poison." He believes that too much of anything can be fatal, and this applies to magic and the world of spirit as well, not simply poisons and medicines. He is a skilled healer, herbalist and medical doctor. He maintains a medical consulting practice under the name Philip Hohen.

Sanctum: Theophrastus owns and lives at the Ironrose Hall, which serves as the Athenaeum for New York's Consilium. (Sanctum 10 [Space 5, Security 5], Library 5 [alchemy, herbalism, healing, anatomy & modern medicine, German witchcraft])

Magic: Gnosis 6; Death 3, Forces 3, Matter 5, Mind 4, Prime 2; Legacy Attainments: Nigredo, Albedo (Intelligence)
