Benefits and Flaws
Benefits:
- Attractive: Whenever the Spearman rolls Perception, he may reroll 2 1's (1/2 of his Perception).
- Spear Fighter I: As a Greater Action, the Spearman may make a normal attack against a single opponent. If he misses, he may make a second attack at any other foe. If he hits he does Athletics -1 damage.
- Spear Fighter II: Spears in his hands can attack opponents 1 yard further than they normally could, at no penalty. In addition, then the Spearman makes a Knockdown test with his spear he gains +1D.
- Expertise: Spears: In his hands, a Spear becomes a deadly extension of his body. The Spearman adds +1D to all Spear tests.
- Shield Mastery: The Spearman adds 2 (his Bonus Dice in Shields) to the Defense bonus of any Shield he wields.
- Acrobatic Dodge: As a Lesser Action, the Spearman may add 4 (double his Bonus Dice in Acrobatics) to his Combat Defense.
Drawbacks and Flaws:
- Debt: Indebted to the Iron Bank, the Spearman has become their representative.
- Near Sighted: Reduced Marksmanship for 50xp The Spearman's vision is terrible past a few yards.
- Childhood Disease The Spearman suffered from, but survived, a terrible illness as a child. His constitution isn't what it should be.
- Afraid of Heights (Fear: Heights) Anything higher than the Spearman himself terrifies him. It takes a staircase wide enough for ten men abreast before he can climb them without issues, and even being on upper floors of a tower make him uneasy. The Spearman is at -1D to all tests. As a free action each round, Danyk may roll one die and on a roll of a 6, this penalty is removed.
- City Bot (Flaw: Survival) Prior to leaving Braavos, the Spearman had never left the city's walls. He has little training in the wild.
