Astra's Journal
My heart is heavy, so it is today that I begin to write my thoughts down. I know that to some of my kind, this practice would seem unimportant and human at best; but I hope that it will help to east my aching heart. I have never been so disgusted with a place then I am with this Nation of Tamos. For a time I thought that it would be enough to stop them from expanding their lands into my home and the homes of those I care for, and sink back into the horror of their civilization. I now know that I was wrong. Hatred for others seems to be a sickness of the mind to these people. Elves, Shifters, Tieflings, and even their own people are not safe from this insanity. It has come to my attention that slavery is alive and well in Tamos. If found free in Tamos, Tieflings are enslaved on sight due to nothing but their race. I am currently in the process of helping six Tieflings to freedom. I am not sure where this will lead, but I must help them. I honor the memory of my father and mother by doing this, however, I do it from for more than that. I do it because freedom is not an optional or suggested right--it is undeniable.
