There are those who live on the outer edges of world, often close to the Dream, whose lives seem more primitive than most. In particular, the bosen, ocaithe, and mero have populations that survive as hunter-gatherers that shy away from the more civilized central areas of the world. Here, monsters from the Dream are more common and may fuel the rage a barbarian utilizes for strength. Alternately, rather than drawing on anger, some barbarians draw from the intensity of other emotions, often ecstatic joy, to give them power.
