Even among the good-natured folk, there are those of exceptional shrewdness. Some of these folk may use such talents to their advantage, while others use them to protect their community. So far in the history of the waking world, few individuals have gained notoriety for taking advantage of other folk, and those few have been cast out of society, often into the Dream from which there is no return. Urd-Ashak, where law exists, has seen a handful of lawbreakers who are usually easily corrected.

Most commonly, rogues serve as scouts and protectors whose skills allow them to seek out dangerous beasts and monsters before they can catch a community off guard. They may also be cunning folk gifted with the insight to follow and manipulate the social currents in their communities.
