Class Two droids are programmed for engineering and technical sciences. Such droids tended to perform tasks such as environmental work and starship repair. Second-degree droids are divided into a number of subcategories: astromech droids, engineering droids, environmental droids, exploration droids, and sophisticated repair droids.

Arakyd Prowler 1000 Exploration Droid
Ship Resources
A long-range exploration droid, the Arakyd has long-distance sublight flight capability - while they cannot enter hyperspace, they can move quite rapidly within a given system's planetary bodies. They are excellent sensor-droids, capable of detecting not just visual and auditory information, but the chemical and energetic sensors at the ends of their manipulator arms can provide a wealth of information. They only speak Binary.

Working in tandem, these droids are investigator droids. Though they are primarily known for their use in the Temple on Coruscant, the Chu'unthor does maintain a half-dozen of these two-droid teams for strange occurrences or even the nearly-unheard of crime aboard the praxeum. Where the JN-66 performs analysis and examines crime scenes, gathering and cataloguing data which is shared immediately with its SP-4 partner, whose job is to analyze the data, draw conclusions and interact with organics. Only the SP-4 speaks Basic; both speak Binary.

Command Deck
The flight crew of the Command Deck makes ample use of these "trash can" droids with the clear dome-tops, designed by IA for use by capital ship crews. They have been modified over the years to sync dynamically with the systems of the Chu'unthor, providing even greater benefit to the ship than R-series droids normally provide.

Though the Chu'unthor has an allotment of the recently-purchased R6 models, many of her pilots still prefer their trusty R2 units. Either way, the little droids can be found all over the Hangar Decks.

Ship Resource
A small, hovering cam-droid, the J57 is deployed by the Masters when they require verifiable record of events they may send Jedi away on. Diplomatic interactions and potentially violent situations are usually accompanied by the droids, in order to provide a precise debriefing at a later date.
