Celeren

Celeren is the capital city of the Marukan alliance, and the home of Maruka's most powerful family, the Mayhiros.

Celeren is the furtherest South-west city in the River Province, and the only other member state of the Confederation of Rivers that is further South West is the shadowy city of Thorns.

Celeren was originally used by the Realm as a Port City and a beachhead for invasions against the River Province, until the city was liberated by the Seventh Legion. In celebration the Marukan people tore down all of the structures within the city constructed by Imperial Forces, and built only a handful of new structures in their place. As a result the city is filled with wide open spaces and numerous open air markets, with very few multi-story structures other than Celeren Manse.
