Operation

  • Chapter House: There is a single Knights of the Beacon Chapterhouse, which acts as its headquarters. This is located in Katrica City. Novices are trained in the main Chapter House, and all knighting ceremonies take place here.
  • Beacon Houses: There should be individual fortified keeps and forts, designated "Beacon Houses," which serve as holdings for the Knighthood as a whole. Knights are assigned to Beacon Houses on five-year rotations, manning it for half a year, and using it as their "launch pad" for their half-year of errancy. Each Beacon House is run by a House Sergeant.
  • Knights-Errant: For half of a knight's year, he or she is required to venture out into the world and perform acts of heroism and defense. These are explicitly expected to be a time of questing, with each knight determining how best they might perform such acts to increase their own strength, to make the world a better place, and to exalt the name and reputation of the Knights as a whole.
