Lord Alaunos earned his name not for the hue of his beard but for the joke that he keeps all of his gold safely stored away in his glorious face-man, safe and right under his nose. Alaunos is boisterous and full of life, free with his coin when enjoying himself, and in general well loved in Waterdhavian society.
- Byllia Kothont: Consort (Rank 3) • 47 years. In contrast to merry Lord Alaunos, Byllia is pessimistic and fatalistic, fearful of what may go wrong and constantly planning for such scenarios. Even the most critical must admit that Byllis' planning has saved the family fortunes - or their name - more than once.
- Dragos Kothont: Heir (Rank 6) • Firstborn Son • 28 years. Stout Dragos seems to have inherited a great deal from both of his parents. He is boisterous and somewhat pushy the way his father is in seeking out what interests or concerns him, but from his mother he inherited a fretful nature. Everyone who knows him knows that urban living seems to unduly tax him, which is why he's his father's preferred agent in overseeing the familial businesses outside of Waterdeep. He is also a very devout Chauntean, although in recent years rumors say that part of that devotion is less to the goddess and more to one of her priestesses in the Goldenfields.
