WoD: Second Sight

ESP Merits

  • Astral Projection (•••): Requires Clairvoyance Character has the ability to psychically project himself out of his body into a ephemeral body in Twilight.
  • Clairvoyance (•••): Character has the ability to perceive subjects outside the normal range of human senses.
  • Dowsing (•): Requires Clairvoyance, plus Cayce Channeling or Spirit Channeling Character has the ability to search for hidden or unseen objects.
  • Dream Travel (• to •••••): Requires Astral Projection, Mind Reading and Thought Projection Character has the ability to enter the dreams of others and interact in those environments.
  • Postcognition (• or •••): Requires Precognition for the • version Character has the ability to catch glimpses of the past.
  • Precognition (••••): Character has the ability to catch glimpses of the future.
  • Psychometry (••• or ••••): Character has the ability to gain information by touching and "reading" an object of limited size (•••• version removes size limitations).

Mediumist Merits

  • Automatic Writing (••): Character has the ability to access paranormal knowledge through writing while in a trance state.
  • Channeling (•••): Character has the ability to paranormally gain capabilities he does not normally possess. Comes in three different types:
    • Cayce Channeling: Character enters a trance and accesses the Universal Unconscious.
    • Past-Life Channeling: Character enters a trance and gains knowledge from a previous incarnation's skills or knowledge.
    • Spirit Channeling: Requires Ghost-Calling; Character acts as a vessel for a summoned ghost.
  • Death Sight (••••): Character has the ability to perceive ghosts.
  • Ghost Calling (•••): Character has the ability to call ghosts into his presence.

Psychokinetic Merits

  • Biokinesis (• to •••••): Character has the ability to manipulate the biological processes of living things.
  • Cryokinesis (• to •••••): Limited to (lower of Resolve or Stamina) dots Character has the ability to reduce ambient temperature psychically.
  • Plant Empathy (•): Requires Biokinesis •+ Character has paranormal affinity with plants, increasing his ability to care for them and their growth rates.
  • Psychic Healing (••• or •••••): Requires Biokinesis of equal rating Character gains the ability to heal himself (•••) or others (•••••).
  • Psychic Vampirism (•••• or •••••): Requires Biokinesis of equal rating Character gains the ability to drain targets of Willpower by touch; ••••• version allows character to gain Willpower himself.
  • Pyrokinesis (•••••): Character has the ability to cause spontaneous combustion.
  • Pryokinetic Immunity (•• or ••••): Requires Pyrokinesis Character is highly resistant (••) or immune (••••) to fire damage.
  • Pyrokinetic Shaping (•••••): Requires Pyrokinetic Immunity •••• Character has the ability to manipulate the intensity and shape of flames.
  • Telekinesis (• to •••••): Limited to (Resolve) dots Character has the ability to manipulate phsyical objects through the power of his mind alone.
  • Thermokinesis (• to •••••): Limited to (lower of Resolve or Stamina) dots Character has the ability to increase ambient temperature psychically.

Telepathic Merits

  • Animal Empathy (•• or ••••): Character has the ability to commune with and even control either a single species of animal (••) or all animals (••••).
  • Animal Possession (••••): Requires Animal Empathy Character has the ability to psychically possess animals.
  • Animal Rapport (••• to •••••): Requires Animal Ken ••+ Character has an intense psychic connection with an animal of Size 3 or less (•••), Size 4 or 5 (••••) or Size 6 to Size 10 (•••••).
  • Aura Reading (•• or •••••): Character has the ability to read emotions (••); some can even recognize supernatural beings for what they are (•••••).
  • Mental Blast (•••••): Requires Thought Projection •••• Character has the ability to unleash excruciating psychic attacks.
  • Mind Breaker (•••••): Requires Thought Projection •••• Character has the ability to psychically inflict derangements on targets.
  • Mind Control (•••••): Character has the ability to control the minds of others, either verbally or, if possessing the ability to do so, through mental communication.
  • Mind Reading (••• to •••••): Character has the ability to read the surface thoughts of normal people (•••), probe the memories of a normal person or read the surface thoughts of supernatural creatures (••••) or probe the memories of a supernatural creature (•••••).
  • Psychic Empathy (•••• or •••••): Requires Aura Reading and Thought Projection Character has the ability to manipulate the emotions of a target.
  • Psychic Illusions (•••••): Requires Mind Control and Thought Projection Character has the ability to create illusions in the mind of the target.
  • Psychic Invisibility (•••••): Requires Mind Control and Thought Projection Character has the ability to cloud mens' minds to prevent others from seeing him.
  • Telepathic Communication (••••): Requires Thought Projection •••• Character has the ability to engage in two-way telepathic communication with others.
  • Telepathic Rapport (•••): Requires Telepathic Communication Character has the ability to establish a permanent telepathic link with the mind of another person; may be taken multiple times for multiple people.
  • Thought Projection (••• or ••••): Requires Mind Reading ••••• Character can project his thoughts into the minds of others within sensory perception (•••) or into the minds of those he knows (••••)
