The Crossroads is an unexpectedly swanky nightclub spot in Astoria near the waterfront, in the historical Franciscovich building. It has even attracted some attention from the Portland party scene, although is still by and large mostly an Astoria phenomenon.

The building that houses the Crossroads has held a number of other businesses over the years, all of which did moderately well in Astoria's pre-University economy. With the opening of the school, the brew pub that was here was bought out, the business shut down and the club opened just in time for the arrival of the university's first year of students.

Layout

The entry opens into the large lounge, with access to multisex bathrooms (single occupant rooms) on either side of the building, and a bar serving as the back wall of the lounge. Doorways on either side of the bar lead into the larger dance floor and DJ booth area, which is surrounded by a handful of wide upholstered benches that run the edge of the room, providing plenty of resting (and make out) space for patrons.

NPCs Needed: 1 bartender, 1 barback, 1 in-house DJ, 3-5 regular patrons

• Cecil Eversley: Bartender. The head bartender is a handsome, well-dressed man. Cecil quickly learns everyone's names and favorite drinks, though he's not the sort of bartender who can afford the luxury of sitting and listening to peoples' problems. As the night wears on, he frequently ends up removing his shirt, much to the delight of many of the club's patrons.
• Stephanie Condon: Bartender. Stephanie is a no nonsense girl. She knows what her customers want, she gets it to them quick and strong, and she's not much for chatter. Regulars know that overly flirty or gregarious patrons are the first to get cut off at night, saving Cecil from dealing with the more troublesome ones. However, she is surprisingly lenient with underage drinkers with fake IDs who know how to tip well, and patrons who are generous and respectful always get the best service. She keeps her pug dog CeCe in the back office while she works, and it's rumored she pampers the dog outrageously. (Josh)
