Master Levin always said, "the past is like prey. You must understand it to overcome it."
Whatever that means.
If that old man didn't have a bloody saying for everything I might have learned more before he died. Or maybe not. He always said I was more of a knot in the tree than a supple branch. Though he said that would serve me well. I think that was a nice way of saying I'm a good meat shield.

Important Individuals

• Levin meaning lion-hearted. Became the mentor to Riael after he first decided to become a druid. A wise and patient Lion who came to think and love Riael as his son. It was Levin who helped Riael start calming his spirit and giving him the focus he needed to channel his natural druidic abilities. Levin taught Riael how to commune and respect the land. To open his heart to it but not let it consume him. They spent many years together, fighting together, sharing the night sky together, and in many ways became a pride of two. One hot summer, lizard folk attacked the homelands of Levin. Battles and skermishes had warn both Riael and Levin ragged. In a final effort to stop the lizard folk, Levin attacked the lizard warlord ending the war...and sacrificing his life.
