Silverymoon. The Gem of the North.

This is the Legacy of Alustriel Silverhand: A city as beautiful as it is strong, nestled in the wildlands of the North like a gleaming gemstone in a bed of velvet. A place where art and the Art go hand in hand, where song is as lauded as sword-skill, where the myriad peoples of the North might work together to forge something never seen before.

It was Alustriel who made it possible.

Now, the magics of Silverymoon are failing. The Moonbridge flickers and fades in and out of existence, and the magical wardings that surround Silverymoon like protective, cupped hands, operate strangely. Many of the great works of Art that Alustriel set in place by her own hand have begun to fail, and the city needs to know what is happening.

Though the Lady Hope herself disappeared almost a century ago, rumors claim that Alustriel was seen after the Spellplague among the monks of Candlekeep.

Lord Methrammar Aerasumé, one of the tall half-elf sons of Alustriel and now the High Mage of Silverymoon, has gathered you together. You, who all have some connection to the Lady or her legacy. In you he has entrusted this task: go to Candlekeep and see if you can pick up her trail and discover what has happened to her.

This he has charged you: Bring her back, or return with her legacy, in hopes that there might be answers to be found to tend the ills of Silverymoon today.
