- He incited the coup against the House of Crows. He is deeply bitter because he believes that he should have been emperor, but the throne always goes to a Crow.
- He is the one who put the Crow children in gladiatorial combat.
- He is a priest of Corinth, and there are at least four copies of him running around the world.
- One is with the High Commander at all times.
- One is sleeping in a cave with the primordial Avatar of Inevitability.
"Dr. Nathu"
- One has spent years disguised as Dr. Nathu of the Black Library in Obsididan. He has been involved in all our lives at one point or another, supposedly under orders from Corinth.
- Dr. Nathu helped Barron's father sabotage the Nir's plans to become gods by joining with the Heart. Barron's father sacrificed himself in the process.
- Nathu used the blood of the Avatar of Inevitability to poison Caliban so that he would go mad sooner rather than later, which makes him directly responsible for the massacre of Aidan's family.
- He was present at Melisandt's birth/creation.
- He arranged the marriage between Prince Cir and Bran's sister.
- We learned that Nathu was actually Innes when Caliban rescued us in Obsidian. He recognized Nathu on sight.
- Nathu is currently Barron's prisoner.
