The Bloody Savage: The savage is the embodiment of devastation. He is a force of nature, destructive as the tidal wave or hurricane. He isn't mindless in his destruction, but he performs all of his tasks with an eye towards destruction and the sowing of fear that creates. • Affinity Instinct: Rage. The Bloody Savage exists only to rend and tear and let flow as much blood as it can.

Henry's Journal
Background
Born: November 24, 1992
Henry grew up in Raleigh, NC where his parents and sister remain. After graduating high school he moved to College Station, TX and attended the Texas A&M University on a partial rugby scholarship for two years while working at Home Depot. When he was offered a full scholarship by the University of Astoria's new rugby team he did not hesitate in accepting and made the move to Oregon.
Henry works part time as a waiter at the Wet Dog Cafe. He is a member and resident of the ATO fraternity house. His major is in mass communications with a minor in philosophy. When he's not attending to school, sports or at the gym, he is either hanging out with friends or can be found nestled in his bean bag playing video games or watching anime. In addition to rugby and wrestling, Henry also plays tennis, rides a Harley, knows how to repair it himself and plays the saxophone. He has a cat named R2.
Henry came out as gay during his first year of college. Other than a few dates and casual encounters he hasn't ever been in a relationship.
Henry is intent on enjoying his college years to the fullest, but while he loves to socialize and party, he is dedicated and passionate about rugby and by extension his schoolwork that he is required to maintain in order to continue playing on the team.
Rumors
- He's probably racist. What makes you say that? Well. He's white. Most of his friends are white and he's from the south. Duh.
- I heard he's actually gay. He doesn't look it. No. I'm pretty sure it's true. He was wearing a shirt with an apology to the ladies about liking dick. Well that's unfortunate.
- He looks like a bully. Kinda yeah. But I think he only bullies bullies. So...he's kinda like Dexter. Well, yeah - just without the murder.
- He's a total nerd too I was told. He is always hanging out with that nerdy McDonnell girl. And he has Star Wars tattoos. Oh yeah. I saw those. Didn't know what they were.
- I was told he was some sort of rugby big shot back in Texas. Yeah. He's in wrestling with my boyfriend. Lucky boyfriend. I hope not!
- Wasn't he on Glee? Nah. That was another guy. He didn't have a beard and is like, 30 or something.
Personality
- • Virtue: Valorous
Some things need doing, even if the odds are not in your favor, they still need doing and you don't have time to sit around and hope someone else comes around to do it for you. Scary or not, if people need you, they need you now. This has gotten me in trouble a number of times, even landed me in the hospital once, but it's ALWAYS been worth it. - • Vice: Poor Anger Management
I try to be a patient man and I always want to do good, be the upstanding citizen and do the right thing. I try and hide it, but it's so easy for people or situations to just push me too far and all I really want to do is smash something or punch someone. My hand may be sore, and I hate to admit it, but I always feel better when something or someone is broken or bleeding. I generally try and channel that energy into more productive things, which is how I got into rugby and wrestling. After four broken mobile phones, three suspensions due to fights, a restraining order and a wrecked car (his looked worse), my shrink suggested I find a more productive means for channeling my anger. It works on most days.
- Aspirations:
- • Find his anchor.
- • Become captain of the wrestling team.
- • Prevent one of his fellow wolves from harming another.
- • Have a reason to change his Facebook status to "In a relationship" (or he'd even settle for "It's complicated").
- • Shh...this one is a secret.
- Integrity: 7
Breaking Points
- Losing control.
- Q) What is the worst thing your character has ever done?
A) The Burger King manager made inappropriate comments about one of his friends. He punched the guy. He taunted Henry by continuing the line of inappropriate comments. Anger. He pushed the guy. The comments kept coming. Things got a bit hazy in the logical processing department and Henry kept beating on the guy and put him in the hospital. Henry also lost his job.
- Q) What is the worst thing your character has ever done?
- Inflicting serious injury.
- Q) What is the worst thing your character can imagine himself doing?
A) Seriously injuring people. He works hard to reign in his anger, but the impulse is always there. He doesn't want to hurt anyone...well, most people. No. That's completely untrue. He DOES want to hurt them. But he doesn't want to be the person who seriously hurts people. A good thump is necessary sometimes to establish protocols and maintain order, but there is a place for thuggery, beyond that is real violence. So he stops himself from crossing that line...most of the time.
- Q) What is the worst thing your character can imagine himself doing?
- Murder.
- Q) What is the worst thing your character can imagine someone else doing?
A) You simply do not take the lives of others without a very good reason. Maybe you're a solider in a war or maybe you're defending your life, but he's never been either of those things - so he cannot imagine being in such shoes. He can imagine doing it, he does it all the time in games. The part he just can't imagine having to deal with is what comes after. Losing yourself, who you were, forever. Because you can't remain the same person you were before. Unless you're already a monster.
- Q) What is the worst thing your character can imagine someone else doing?
- Vehicular collisions.
- Q) What has the character forgotten?
A) He doesn't remember it all, but he was told that he drove off with his mom's SUV while he was drunk and angry and drove it into an Arby's. He was in a coma for nearly two weeks. What he doesn't remember is the monster in front of the Arby's that he was aiming the SUV at after having flung it off the vehicle.
- Q) What has the character forgotten?
- Losing something due to his temper.
- Q) What is the most traumatic thing that has ever happened to the character?
A) His temper nearly cost him his entire future. After his third suspension (he punched a teacher - they genuinely deserved it) followed with a restraining order, he was nearly expelled, which would have cost him any chance of a scholarship and jeopardized his future dreams. Fortunately the principal, also his wrestling coach, was fond of him and a rugby fan, so he was barely able to charm his way out of it.
- Q) What is the most traumatic thing that has ever happened to the character?

Friends and Family
Family
Melissa Haddock Mulgrew The Mom Melissa works in customer support at an AT&T call center. She reads a great deal and has always allowed Chris and I to pretty much do whatever we want to do as long as we don't get into serious trouble and leave her alone when she gets home from work. Her older sister, our Aunt Mary is frequently over with a bottle of bourbon for them to share and cackle like mad witches on the back deck. My mother believes that everyone should go see a psychiatrist on a regular basis, some of us more than others, such as myself. Our entire family has been going to see her college friend, Dr. Kate, since before I was born. While the rest of the family still go to see her, due to an "incident" during one of my visits, I'm no longer allowed within a certain distance of her office.
Ronald "Ron" Muldrew The Dad Ron, or Dad as he likes us to call him, is an environmental remediation specialist for BP Global (whatever that means) and is usually only home for about one week every two or three months. When he is home, he usually watches the news and reads about tennis. His sister, my aunt Bethany, is the one who got me into comics and Star Wars. She lives in LA with her two husbands and owns several comic shops. Their daughter Kat and I used to endure summer camp together as kids. Dad and our family shrink, Dr. Kate had an affair when I was younger. She wrote a book about it and my mom seemed content to let it slide so long as she got some of the royalties.
Christina Mulgrew The Sister Chris is my vegan, lesbian band and drama geek little sister. She is still in high school and has dreams that frequently shift between Hollywood and politics. She likes to threaten me with plans of attending college wherever I am. Chris and I don't always get along, we argue and spend most of our exchanged words in insults, but we do love each other. |
Friends
Renee "Snips" McDonnell The Padawan Poor girl has no confidence in herself. Found myself playing the role of her knight in flannel and cargo shorts when she was being bullied by two skateboarding morons. She had a Rebel Alliance patch on her backpack, which immediately endeared me to help her in her plight. We've hung out since then and she's actually pretty amazing, she just can't seem to see it in herself. I call her Snips after Ahsoka Tano from Star Wars. Snips had to take some time away from school and classes. She went back home to Cali for a bit, but she just returned. It's good to see her, though she still has a haunted look to her, like she's afraid she's going to find a wolf around the corner at any given time. I wish I could tell her what's going on, but fear that would likely push her away for good. Best to distance that part of my new life from her, keep her safe. She needs to be safe, enjoy school and graduate, not get dragged into...THIS.
Mama J The Den Mother The Den Mother of the ATO fraternity house. She's extraordinarily chill, invested in the well being of the fraternity and its members and pragmatic. She knows boys are going to be boys, so she does what she can to make sure everyone will be safe in doing so, such as supplying us with quality drugs and booze rather than us endangering ourselves by pursuing it from questionable sources. She's the favorite aunt and best friends mom you always wished you had. Mama J also seems to have some sort of magical ability to pull cops out of velvet hats. Mama J is also a werewolf and given to her emotional bouts...a little more crazy than before. We're helping each other keep ourselves in check at the ATO House, though and given the stress of her job on top of everything going on I have to give her props for being able to juggle chainsaws and fire at the same time.
Jace The Hookup & Lab Partner Why's this guy even on my list? Jace and I met just before term started and enjoyed each others company pretty thoroughly. He was a bit of a dismissive jerk when I tried to get in contact with him afterward. I understand one night stands, but you don't have to be a dick about it. :( Well it seems the academia has thrown us under the same physics propelled bus together and we're now lab partners. He's not so bad a guy really (even though he's never seen Star Wars). I think he's just really hung up on appearances and what people think of him. He's level headed and handy at having your back when you're dealing with mysterious burglars and assailants.
Warner The Multitool Warner is a boyscout. No really, he's a boyscout. Or was I think. Met him at the GSA meetup and he helped me out by finding the perfect location for the ATO bonfire party. He seems chill and competent to a degree beyond your average 20-something. Turns out he knows Mama J from his youth as well. Warner is another member of the secret werewolf club and seems to be dealing with it much better than the rest of us. Not surprising I guess given that he's already accustomed to living like an animal in the woods.
Doctor Lichfield The Doctor Jones! She initially comes across as super rigid, dry and professional, though I'm beginning to wonder if there is a great deal more to her than that. She's the faculty adviser for the GSU and signed on as our sponsor for the ATO house party. Snips is always giving her high praise. Dr. Lichfield kind of creeps me out. Though she's not one of us, she seems to be the defacto leader of the werewolf club and knows more about us than, well, anyone else we know. She always seems to be dissecting us with her eyes and I'm a little fearful of what she would actually do given the opportunity, though she claims to only have our best interests at heart.
Thomas The Dude I just met Thomas. He's helping facilitate and arrange for his buddy "Prometheus" to DJ at the upcoming ATO bonfire party. He seems extremely chill and quick to approach potential problems head on. An admirable trait. Thomas is apparently the werewolf-whisperer and the one responsible for bringing us all together. He's supportive and has been a soothing balm to the frenzy that has been life of late, though he admits to being a little afraid for his personal well being given our tendency to freak out on a dime if it lands wrong. We avoid playing competitive console titles. |
Classmates
Carter Smythe The Rival He thinks he's got what it takes to be captain of the wrestling team. He's good, but he's not as good as I am. I have to admit though, I do enjoy sharing the gym shower room with him. :p Member of the ATO, involved in wrestling and rugby. |
Potential Romantic Interests
Danny Marin The Freshman Danny is adorable. He caught my eye the moment I saw him and I'd like to be able to spend some quality time gaming and getting to know him better. Not sure if he swings for the same team, but I aim to find out. I've been keeping him at arms reach the past week, just as I have everyone as I dealt with some pretty drastic and very recent changes in my life, but I plan to remedy that soon. He's one of Warner's buddies and spends a lot of time at his place playing video games. He's also involved with the baseball team, though he doesn't seem particularly happy with them and has been inquiring about wrestling. Yes, do come join us in the locker room.
Reese Tavis The "Psychic Vampire" Reese is gorgeous, but it stops right about there. He's been pretty flaky, largely absent and kinda a scatter brain since I first met him. He also loads the toilet paper roll backwards and doesn't close the cap on his toothpaste. This past week on the other hand, he's been all too present, like glitter - you can't entirely be rid of him. Every time I open my door he's practically there, anytime someone else comes knocking on my door, he pops out of his room to talk to them. I think he's trying to be a supportive friend, but dude - I barely know you, we're not friends. I think he may just not be very well socialized and oblivious to cues, like get the fuck off. On the plus side, his smother-lurking was somewhat responsible for Thomas successfully prying me out of my isolation and I've been doing much better since then. He and Mama J got into some sort of tiff apparently and she was pretty much waiting in his room to kill him until I "calmed her down". Didn't see Reece for a few days after that and he didn't say a word when he did reappear, just gave me that kicked puppy look and stood there as if he was hoping I would instigate conversation. |
Lifestyle
A description of your characters day to day life.
- Downtime Condition: Athletic. Henry gets in a gym workout on a nearly daily basis, and has practice for wrestling three times a week, and cross-country another three times a week.
- Money: His scholarship pays for all of his tuition, his housing and meal plans. He works part time in order to have extra money for things like beer, pot, comics and video games.
- Clothing & Jewelry: When it's warm he usually wears cargo or gym shorts with sport jerseys, tank tops or tee shirts (most of which either depict sports or Star Wars designs) and flip-flops. When it's cold, he usually wears jeans or sweats instead of shorts with a hoodie or jacket and shoes. As for jewelry, he wears a heavy gold chain around his neck, his class ring, bright red Swatch watch, fitbit and a Naruto silicon bracelet. He has a Sagittarius sign tattoo on his left forearm, a Star Wars themed full arm tattoo sleeve on his right arm, as well as a handful of smaller Star Wars related designs scattered about his body.
- Housing: A small room to himself at the ATO Fraternity House that he has liberally decorated with anime, Star Wars, video game, tennis, wrestling and rugby posters and paraphernalia. His only furniture is a futon, bean bag chair (there were two, but one suffered a violent end), entertainment stand crammed full of console systems and covered with layers of Star Wars figures, a massive television and a rather large and elaborate cat tower for his cat, R2.
- Transportation: Harley-Davidson Fat Boy Lo - FLSTFB
- Communication: He prefers text messages over calling, his family back home are the same.
- Food: When left to his own devices, he primarily lives off of coffee, protein shakes, beer, pizza and beef jerky, though he's happy to sit down with others for real food.
- Days: Breakfast, jog, wrestling/rugby practice (depending on the season), classes if he has them that day, lunch, possibly more classes, gym or tennis, more practice. If he doesn't have classes, he spends more time in front of the television or with friends.
- Evenings: On a typical weekday evening, he either works or does homework when he gets home, grabs dinner and plays games or watches tv until he crashes. Lacking those requirements for the evening, he's more likely to consume alcohol and play video games or hang with friends.
- Classes: This term Henry is taking Physics 101, Principles of Advertising, Television Production II, Learning From YouTube, and American Cinema & Society.
