An impoverished garbage planet, Attahox is a source of phosovane salts, used in painkillers across the galaxy. The planet is controlled by the Torgaigne syndicate, whose power base is supported by black market operations and the sales of phosovane salts.

Dross

Dross.jpg

Dross is the only settlement on Attahox, and it was not so much built as it was carved out of the centuries-old accumulation of garbage and starship hulks abandoned here to slowly sink into the planet's crust.

Dross has no single spaceport facility, and landing here is an iffy proposition, requiring some scouting around the junkopolis. The air over Dross is thick with junker airspeeders and starships coming and going, without any kind of central guidance or order. There are dozen of port beacons all around Dross, each of them largely homemade and run by entities who've cleared space for ships (some better than others) and who claim to keep the ships that land there safe for a fee.

Attahox stinks of poverty and disease, or sour wine and the rancid bodily fluids of a hundred different species. Buildings are constructed out of recycled materials, all fitted together with welding or bolts or adhesives, and the streets are not paved but cobbled with layers of flattened garbage that slowly sink into the native muck and are replaced with a new layer as they get too lost in the mud.
