Houses of the Marchwater Vale
- House Swann: Major House. House Swann are the liege lords of the Houses of the March, and Lord Gulian is named the Marchwarden by House Baratheon.

- House Lohaq: Knightly House. In service to House Swann, the Lohaqi are originally from Lys, and bear some of the Valyrian traits of the Freehold. Originally a sellsword who swore service to Lord Gulian Swann during Robert's Rebellion, its Master Ahdas Lohaq was knighted and given lands in Swann's service. He has since married a Westerosi knight's daughter and fathered a family.
- House Grandison: Minor House. An ancient House, the Grandisons hold the pass that leads out of the Marchwater Vale. They are well-known for the brother of the current lord having been one of the Kingsguard.
